Opening Prayer
We glory in Your victory, Good God of light! In Your incarnation, You have vanquished all darkness that diminishes your children – which threatens the divine spark in us and in our world. We are bathed in the living water of life, Your divine Breath and Spirit. We are washed in Your sacrificial Blood. The victory is Your gift to us. As we trace our history of the New Adam to the original Adam, may we continue to be sons and daughters of the earth – and daughters and sons of God, living from the image and victory You have imprinted on us and immersed us in. Humble us to embrace and gentle the heritage we are born into, expanding its strengths and disciplining its weakness so that it is not an excuse to live a life of darkness.
