Opening Prayer

Ever-Patient Lord, You must get frustrated with us, as You were frustrated with the children of Israel complaining in the desert. They wanted more than the manna You gave them each day. Yet You are faithful and patient God – You carry them in the bosom of your love. Sometimes, we want other than what You provide, and we complain. Forgive us, Lord and grant us gratitude for what is Your gift to us. As Jesus fed the crowd gathered for teaching and miracles, help us to multiply the loaves and fishes of our life by sharing them with those in need. May the miracle of grateful and generous hearts happen within us, by the power of Your Spirit and in the Name of Your Son, Jesus.
