Opening Prayer
We long for a double dose of his fiery spirit, God of Elijah. Let the mantle of Your Spirit fall on us and divide the waters and walls which separate and limit us. Continue to manifest Your presence burning within us. Ignite us with passion. Humble and gentle us to walk prayerfully into the sacred cave of inner silence where we can be with You and Listen to You. Spare us from long, endless public prayers and displays of piety and penance. Teach us to give of ourselves, not out of human admiration and need for respect, but from the fire of Your love.
