Opening Prayer
We are snake-bitten, Lord! We continue to find fault and blame you for all the distress of the journey! We grumble in our frustration and impatience. We righteously demand instant gratification. You are so good! You lift up and embrace the very darkness and pain which devours us. Your Son walked our journey and embraced our dark misperceptions and destructive falsehoods. He suffered and was lifted up that we might know that “You Are” in the brokenness of our lives. Thank you, living God, for being the light and the truth who gives comforting hope amid the confusing darkness snaking through our spirits.
