Opening Prayer

God of justice, Your call is unrelenting. You demand that we be holy as You are. What a stretch!!! You want not pious words and lofty prayers. You seek honesty, integrity, respect for boundaries, and a radical sharing of resources that is almost too much. Sometimes, I simply want to divide holiness and justice. You see them as One. They are one in You. Sometimes I’m so blind. I don’t want to be among the goats, but if I had known it was You, I would respond differently! It seems stern and almost cruel that You won’t except ignorance and blindness as an excuse. Your trust is awesome as it is unrelenting. I confess I want excuses to be less that You empowered and taught me to be.
