Opening Prayer
Why do we demand that You do it our way, Saving God of Surprises? Why do we need to know all the exact details and dismantle all mystery before we believe in You? We are like the righteous priests and pharisees, deaf to the message of Jesus, because they were blinded by their own expectations. Help us not to be suspicious nor paranoid about You or others. Teach us the wisdom of balancing caution and trust, permeated with glistening hope in Your messianic presence. Humble us and refine our vision that we might see you come to us in unexpected ways and from surprising sources today!
