Opening Prayer

We are so ungrateful! Our memory is so short-lived. We seem to have amnesia of the spirit! We are sorry, Faithful God of eternal memory. We forget all that You have done for us. Like spoiled children, we only seek what You will do for us today. Thank You for relenting a blazing outburst of anger, born of Your hurt. Continue to embrace us with tender mercy and faithful compassion. For the sake of our ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses, and in the name of Jesus, Your Son, and our brother, save us! Re-ignite our memory and renew gratitude for all You have done and do within and among us. We want to believe in You, Faithful One, Who never forgets. I’m sorry that I need to have continued reminders!
