Opening Prayer

Jesus, you are so gentle and strong. One minute you are like a tractor, plowing through all mountains and obstacles we have created to open a highway to God. At the same time, you are a gentle mother, holding us tenderly. I love the soothing embrace of your womb and your arms. You give me strength and courage. I know you are from God and of God, Jesus. In the womb of your existence I feel as connected with God as you are. What a gift of life! Thank you for never forgetting me, even as I suffer amnesia so often about who and where you are. You are awesome, gentle and strong Jesus.
