Opening Prayer

God of the Universe, it is awesome and fills me with humble gratitude when I hear again that You have always known us and loved us from all eternity, as Your children of light. You have the whole universe, millions of years of history and billions of people interacting, and yet I am not lost in the shuffle of the crowd. I am gathered, known and embraced by You, and have been for all eternity. Your favor is so powerful and gives me hope. Your Wisdom opens possibilities. Teach me to trust Christ’s unifying power, especially when my limited sight thinks everything is coming apart. Save me from human wisdom, which destroys, demeans and shrinks. InSpirit me that I might not limit you by the way I treat people today and embrace the challenges and opportunities You send me. You make me feel special. Thank You!!!
