Opening Prayer

Lord, like Job, I am empty and naked before your goodness.  Give me the innocence of a child that grasps goodness.  Humble me not to define myself by my possessions and accomplishments.  InSpirit child-like trust that presumes the good and does not exclude those I don’t understand or like or feel threatened by.  Be strength and hope for me today.  Help the child of grace in me know that you never forget me — that you are holding me in the palm of your hand.  Help me to see and respond to the angels who meet and walk with me this day, showing me your divine presence.
