Opening Prayer
Yes, we need an increase in faith, Lord Jesus! We struggle to believe how much You love us and how much You expect of us. Paul’s affection for and trust of Titus mirrors Your affection and trust of us. Keep us faithful. Especially empower Your priests and bishops and all who minister in Your church to be good examples of wholesome human living, positive ethics of life, generous in service, rooted in Your biblical Word and not into power games and structures of deceit. Teach us not to scandalize others, especially the most innocent, even though we can justify our actions. Empower us to forgive when it seems useless and does not assuage our rage. Immerse us in Your mercy that we might be compassionate toward others. Stretch our hearts so that we are like You, Jesus, compassion of God! Increase our faith to allow You to work in us.
