Opening Prayer

I am always amazed, wonderful God, that I never get lost in the crowd. You have the whole universe to worry about and keep spinning, and billions of people to attend to, and yet you love me as if I was the only one in the creation. Your Guardian Angel speaks of your individual presence and powerful protection of me. You protect me against foes I know and from darkness which overwhelms within and beyond me. Give me the innocence and trust of a child to believe in your ever – present love. Life becomes complicated and I get lost in the details and forget. Help the child of grace in me know that you never forget me – that you are holding me in the palm of your hand. Help me to see and respond to the angels who meet and walk with me this day, showing me your divine presence.
