Opening Prayer
God of Mercy, St. Therese had such a simple approach to your love. Give me the heart of a child that I can love you and trust you, as she did. Touch the inner child in me, with Your life and grace. Rekindle the memory of your saving love and faithful promise. Purify my heart of cynicism and hardness. Give me the wonder, innocence and trust of a child. Soften what needs to be softened in me. You are so faithful Lord, you pursue me as one your lost sheep, even down the confusing roads and straying paths which I’ve created in the labyrinth of my heart. As the Hound of Heaven, catch up with me and overwhelm me, and give me the rebirth of spirit I need and desire. I ask this through the intercession of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and in the Name of Jesus, the Lord.
