Opening Prayer

Divine Wisdom, it is wonderful the way we court each other,  You are like a secret chamber I longingly peak into – a precious fruit I cautiously and deliciously bite into.  I am pre-occupied with You because you have won my heart and transform my mind.  Your seductive presence overwhelms me.  Even though I know my effort, I experience that it is You Who are embracing me with understanding.  When the Pharisees attacked the teaching credentials of Your Son, he challenges them to examine the duplicity of their faith.  Touch my duplicity and confused heart today with a wisdom that humbly seeks to embrace the truth: about You, about myself, about others, and about our world.  Today we celebrate St. Therese receiving permission from her father to follow her heart and Your Wisdom to enter Carmel.  Give me her bold confidence to follow and pursue You.  Whisper the divine secrets in my heart, Beloved Wisdom, and it will make all the difference.
