Opening Prayer

God of all history, there is something powerful about the way we turn everything upside down as You usher in the justice of Your reign. You bring enemies together in a safe embrace, and children play with danger without harm. All peoples are drawn together in unity and mutual respect which only You can enlighten. You are calling and speaking throughout our history. Help us to hear Your call for conversion and transformation. Much about us needs to be arranged. Excise and burn what is hardened, dead or cynical. Immerse us in Your new life of hope, by the power, passion and fire of Your Spirit. We long for Your Day, O Lord.
