Opening Prayer

Holy God, when Moses came down from the mountain, after meeting You face to face, his face was radiant. Your presence is the divine fire within us and within all Your people. Jesus told us that Your reign is like a treasure buried in a field, which we must purchase and dig for, and like fine pearls which we must sacrifice other things for. Give us the grace and power to dig deeper amid the people and experiences of our life so that we can see the Divine Spark and Your image. Help us look into the face of the people we live and work with and see Your radiance. Give the courage to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to allow You to break out in our world. In the calm and dark enclosures of our life, help us to seek and find sparkling, polished multicolored pearls, as a sign that You are there with us.
