Opening Prayer

Risen Jesus, you continue to surprise us. To the amazement of the Jews, you poured forth your Spirit on the Gentiles. You do show up and embrace surprising people and situations. Thank you for never being confined by our petty expectations. May your Spirit expand and widen our vision and embrace to people and places least expected. Empower us to love who and what we don’t understand or even feel threatened by. Keep us faithful to you by the way we treat all people and challenges which come into our lives. Teach us again Therese’s message that “everything is grace”! InSpirit us that you, rather than our fears, be the norm of our love. Your resurrection happening in us is still a challenge! Befriend us again this day with your embracing power and courage.
