Opening Prayer
Jesus, you are the Heart of God. You love us so unconditionally and so powerfully! You have made us God’s beloved, peculiarly His own. We love that special affection, even as we wrestle with its responsibilities. Thank you for revealing the truth that God is Love and Your Divine Life embraces us. Rekindle the child in us who longs for and reaches out for your embrace – and who believes in the miracle of Your uplifting Love. I love sitting on your strong shoulders, Jesus – you lift and refresh my spirit, and the whole world looks different when I’m sitting up here. I won’t pull on your hair, and I’m sorry for all the ways I have disappointed you and broken your heart. Continue to be the pace-maker so that I breathe in the rhythm of Your heart.
