Opening Prayer
Circumcise our hearts, Lord Jesus. Convert and transform us. Be careful and gentle with the knife – you are cutting me. But please excise what limits us from being life-giving for your kingdom. Cut deep into the attitude, behaviors, denials and judgments which prevent the fullness of your glory breaking out. Move us beyond the flesh of your Spirit. Thank you for never giving up on us, no matter how lost or hard- hearted we are. You are the Good Shepherd. Even though you can cut deep, you also are unconditional and breathless in the way you pursue and search for us. In my lost and hurting moments, I wait for you. You value me as a treasure. Your passionate, challenging, and uplifting love touches me beyond words.
