Opening Prayer
Paul, you were so passionate and loved the people of Ephesus, despite the persecutions and misunderstanding you experienced. The power of Christ Jesus carried you and fired you with courage amid trials. Give us your passion and love of Jesus. Help us to finish the race, announcing and creating God’s reign in our world. Like you, we are entrusted with God’s Word, and with the life of His Christ – to share his glory and the freeing power of his message with all peoples. Help us to evangelize our world by the way we live and values we embrace, so that all people may know God in Christ as a freeing, embracing and uplifting God who is transforming this world into His World.
