Opening Prayer

Warrior God, You seem to love a good fight! You promise to protect Your holy city, Jerusalem, as a sign that You are the living God. Today, please continue to protect Your holy city, Your Church. Protect Your people from vengeful prophets and violent powers. Continue to make us Your holy Temple, the place where You dwell and energize us for the struggle in the battlefields of our lives. May Your Holy Presence transform us, so that we treat each other with holiness, reverence, and justice. Make us not food for demonic forces, but militant pilgrims, traveling Your road to the justice, wholeness, and peace of Your reign. May our behaviors toward each other be the defining walls of Your holy city.
