Opening Prayer

God of mystery and secrets, thank You for revealing to us. Through Paul, we know the divine secret that You love each and all of us equally, unconditionally and powerfully. It is almost too awesome to comprehend, Loving God. No one is more privileged. Your blessings are a responsibility to use what is given for the sake of Your reign. InSpirit us with Your Wisdom to embrace Your mysterious plan– and to actually believe how close You are to us – closer than our breath. Keep us alert to Your subtle presence and the special moments and ways You break into our life today. Empower us to be energetic and passionate in working for Your reign. You have given us so much! I know You expect a lot. Help me!

In 1997, the Pope declared St. Therese to be the youngest Doctor of the Church. As the official Church affirms what we already know, that your “little way” is the most beautiful way of Gospel living, help us this day, Therese, to live focused lives of charity and attention to others.  Teach us again to do the ordinary things with extra-ordinary love, because God is the center of our life and the source of Love.
