Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus, are we like the shallow people of Galatia, who stumble so easily and lose our way so quickly? In earnest we receive your Spirit, but other drives, dreams and needs within us take over. We are sorry that it is so hard for us to be faithful to your life-giving power, especially when it gets tough and we experience the challenge of the Cross. Thank you for being so open and hospitable to us. You always respond to us with the unconditional love of a parent. You truly are father and mother to us, Holy God. Even in our adolescent rebellion, Your love intensifies, Your patience smiles, and Your embrace frees and uplifts us. I feel so important because You attend and listen to me. Thank you!
