Opening Prayer

Jesus, I love Your vision of the end of days! It seems like such a wonderful reunion when a new eternal melody of life will be the song of our souls. It will be a hymn of glory, harmony, justice, joy and peace. We long for that day! We work for that day! In the new springtime of eternity, You will be the Lamb emerging and leading our chorus in praise of God. The echoes will stretch and magnify our souls. What a joyful reunion to look forward to – no practice, just eternal harmony! In order to live in Your kingdom, give me the generosity of the poor widow who gives all that she has. Not surplus, but from the depths! Stretch me and empty me of self-serving songs and hoarding hymns, so that I can sing Your song of love!
