Opening Prayer
Help us to be patient and faithful, even in times of darkness and despair. Make us a holy people, tested in time and refined in the fire. When our spirits sag and our attention tires, keep us alert to the ways You come to us and the ways You are transforming the world. Empower us to be faithful to Your dream and command for justice, even though it gets tiring, seems unreal, and is so complicated. Enable us to keep Your house in order until Your final return so that You recognize it as Your home by the justice and respectful way we treat each person in Your human family.
